This is Posy, aka Multi Ch Elfin Pocketful of Posy CGC TDI. Posy is Poppy's daughter, Keebler's littermate, and our current 'alpha' girl. She's a very laidback leader who let's our pack enjoy themselves until things get out of hand...and when Posy speaks, the other dogs LISTEN!

Posy is the mother of Ginny, Penny and Max so is very much the foundation of our Silk Dog breeding program. Posy is a Certified Havana Silk Dog™

This is Pearlie, aka BISS Ch Feliz Perla de las Antillas CGC TDI. Pearlie came to us from Beth and Bob Johnson of Feliz Havanese. She is Posy's half sister (both girls being sired by Ch Salemi Charly ROMX, a major contributor to the Havana Silk Dog.) Christopher Columbus called Cuba the "Pearl of the Antilles" which is where Pearlie got her name. Her coat is spun silk, a pearlescent ivory fall. Pearlie took BISS at the Blue Ridge Specialty in 2004. Pearlie went to her first HSDAA show in Toledo in May 2008 and had a great time being back in the ring. She left with two majors and a BOS! She finished her Championship in 4 shows with all major wins. Pearlie is a Certified Havana Silk Dog™

This is Pala, aka Ch Elfin's Last Word From Feliz RA CGC TT TDI. Pala is Pearlie's little sister. I call her our 'college girl' because she excels in performance competition as well as conformation. In fact, Pala was fairly bored by the conformation ring (unlike Pearlie, the diva, who LOVED the adulation of the crowd) and was so happy to finish her Championship so she could quit primping and trotting around the ring. She thinks Rally Obedience is MUCH more fun! We will probably try our hand at agility in the future, time and energy permitting. On July 21, 2007, Pala passed the ATTS Temperament Test and earned an additional title 'TT' to wear behind her name. Pala is a Certified Havana Silk Dog™

This is Ginny, aka Ch Elfin Sweet Virginia Breeze. Ginny is Posy's daughter from the Fall 2005 "Weather Related Song Title " litter. She was born on the birthday of the recently passed mother of a long time friend of mine...the mother's name was Virginia, everyone called her Ginny, so Ginny was named in her honor. Ginny is our impudent little scamp. She'll do anything for a treat. I keep a grooming table in front of the couch so I can groom dogs while watching TV and Ginny will jump on it herself over and over again, even after she's done because she thinks "jump on table, get combed, get treat!" Ginny is a Certified Havana Silk Dog™

This is Penny, aka Multi Ch Elfin Ring Around the Rosy. She is another Posy daughter and has the most drop dead gorgeous black silk coat. At the VA Beach Shows, Penny earned 10 points toward her HSDAA Jr Ch and finished in Kissimmee,FL. and then, at 2, earned her Certified Championship, passed all her health testing, and is now a Certified Havana Silk Dog™.

In Dec 2009, Penny had her first litter of puppies, Penny's Poems, to carry on the next generation of Elfin Silk Dogs.

This is Maximus, aka Multi Ch Elfin Just In Time. Max is my pick pup from Posy's last litter, the 'Time" litter. Max is the first boy that I've kept in years. He was just too handsome, sound and typey to let go. He has a great head, elegant neck, silky coat, great front and rear and a perfect Cuban crozier tail. Posy's last litter was outstanding...line bred to her nephew, Sonic, the pups were uniform and uniformly gorgeous. (The litter is pictured on the homepage.) Max's litter was the first Elfin litter to be registered with HSDAA. Like all the other adult dogs at Elfin, Max has had his blood panel/liver tests, BAER, CERF, cardiac, patellas, elbows and hips done. He is the first Silk Dog to be graded OFA Excellent for hips! He is a Certified Havana Silk Dog™ . Max to completed his certified HSDAA Championship at the 2009 National Specialty!
